eSP PARTICIPATED IN UKRAINE-LATVIA BUSINESS FORUM IN KYIV

(June 25, 2008, Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kyiv, Ukraine).

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers took part in opening of this event.

The meeting highlighted the significance of the economic and political dialogue between Ukraine and Latvia, including the importance of high-level visits, and outlined further measures for the promotion of co-operation. Both counterparts expressed their satisfaction with the increasing economic co-operation between Ukraine and Latvia.

Addressing those present Victor Yushchenko said that stirring up cooperation between Ukrainian and Latvian businesses promises benefits for both countries. He also promised that Ukrainian authorities would help foreign businessmen, including those from Latvia, in organizing effective and profitable work in Ukraine. At the end of the event, in presence of Presidents Victor Yushchenko and Valdis Zatlers, Ukrainian and Latvian organizations signed a number of documents:

  • Exchange Information Agreement between Ukrainian state enterprise “Information-Resource Center” and Latvian «Lursoft - IT».
  • Memorandum on cooperation between Ukrainian Centre for Foreign Investment Promotion and Latvian Investment and Development Agency.
  • Agreement on cooperation between Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and Latvia.

Within the framework of Ukraine-Latvia Business Forum, eSP representatives took part in the discussions between Ukrainian and Latvian delegations and met with seven ICT entrepreneurs from Latvia. “We believe that our participation in Ukraine-Latvia Business Forum will become a good start for better understanding of Baltic business and open up new opportunities for us,” said Sergiy Salenko, CEO of eSP.
